Hetvi

Patience, precision and a willingness to look closely at what others might overlook.

Hetvi, Bharatanatyam instructor

Journey

Growing up in a joint family where rhythm was a way of life, with a brother who is a drummer, a mother with a beautiful voice and music always in the air, art and curiosity grew side by side.

Today, Hetvi is pursuing an Integrated MSc in Life Science at Ahmedabad University, with her thesis centered on zebrafish.

Science and dance may seem like opposite worlds, but both demand the same things: patience, precision and a willingness to look closely at what others might overlook. The discipline learned on stage carries into the laboratory, and the curiosity of a scientist finds its way back to the dance floor.

Training & Parampara

Hetvi's Bharatanatyam journey began twelve years ago, alongside her cousin, under the guidance of Guru Aayushi Manish. Rooted in their guru's discipline, vision and choreography, she grew into an artist who carries the tradition with both rigour and grace.

In 2022, she presented her Arangetram, a milestone shaped by years of devotion and Guru Aayushi Manish's unwavering guidance.

Though her academic path has taken her into the world of science, dance has never been left behind. Chitrini brings her back to where it all began.
