Named after the Chitrini Nayika, a symbol of elegance and artistic excellence in Indian tradition.

Rooted in the 24th chapter of Bharat Muni’s Natyashastra, the "Nayika", i.e. heroine, the main female character performs the task of conveying the plot, emotional disposition and literary beauty of the play to the audience. Thus, among the many types of Nayikas, "CHITRINI" is one of the classifications of Nayika according to physical and personality trait.
