Dhruvi
Art was never just a pursuit. It was simply how we lived.

Journey
“Growing up in a joint family steeped in Indian classical music, a brother devoted to tabla for fifteen years, a cousin who is a drummer, and my four years of harmonium woven into childhood, art was never just a pursuit. It was simply how we lived.
By training, an architectural designer. Studies took me to Melbourne, Australia, where amid blueprints and studios I found myself teaching Bharatanatyam and discovering, perhaps for the first time, how deeply I loved it.
A move to Tokyo for further studies and work brought new horizons, but also a quiet distance from dance. It was in that distance that the longing became clarity. Chitrini was born from that moment. A decision to stop drifting from what I love and instead build a home for it.”
Training & Parampara
“My journey in Bharatanatyam began twelve years ago, alongside my cousin Hetvi, under the guidance of Guru Aayushi Manish. It was under her immense discipline, vision and choreography that we grew, not just as dancers, but as artists.
In 2022, we presented our Arangetram. A culmination of years of devotion, practice and her unwavering guidance.
As life led us to our own paths, the foundation she built in us never left. Chitrini is, in many ways, a continuation of that gift.”
